Announcing the Inaugural Members of the VIDS Advisory Council¶
Princeton Medical Systems is pleased to announce the inaugural members of the VIDS Advisory Council, an independent advisory body supporting the development of the Verified Imaging Dataset Standard (VIDS).
VIDS is an open standard for structured, machine-checkable documentation of medical imaging datasets used in AI/ML development. The Advisory Council helps keep the standard grounded in clinical, research, and technical practice by bringing independent perspectives from experts who work with medical imaging data and AI.
Council members serve in their individual capacity. The Council is advisory and does not set or approve VIDS conformance requirements.
Inaugural Members¶
Anupam K. Singhal, MD, Neuroradiologist¶
Dr. Singhal holds a degree in applied mathematics and works at the intersection of clinical radiology and machine learning, with a focus on annotation schema design, label quality, and the methodology of imaging dataset validation.
Vera Damerjian Pieters, PhD, Founder of VeraDP¶
Vera Damerjian Pieters, PhD, is the founder of VeraDP, an R&D leadership and advisory practice specializing in medical imaging AI. Drawing on a PhD in Computer Vision and over 10 years of applied MedTech experience, she helps organizations build defensible R&D, with a focus on data AI-readiness and risk analysis, experiment and evaluation design, state-of-the-art positioning, and technical assessment. Her work also includes skill transfer through specialized training and masterclasses, translating research and technical expertise into actionable knowledge. Her current research explores how data understanding and qualification can better inform R&D decisions in medical imaging AI.
A Growing Council¶
Additional Advisory Council appointments are in progress and will be announced as they are completed. The Council will continue to bring together perspectives across clinical practice, imaging research, regulatory affairs, and health-system data governance.
